      Kalari Marma

Kalari Marma is an ancient powerful massage technique practiced in Kerala by kalarippayattu (South Indian martial arts) warriors which is focused on the rapid recovery of their injuries.

The objective of this strong massage  is to revitalize the marma (Vital points) which are injured. There are 107 marma points in the body,These points are the gates between the subtle and the physical body. They distribute prana from the chakras (Energy wheels) and subtle energy channels (nadis) to the physical body. They are also connections between tissues, bones and joints, ligaments, veins, muscles, tendons and nerves.

The 7 chakras, located in various places in the axis of the spine and at the top of the skull, are energy reservoirs that energizes each marma through energy channels called nadis.

Marma massage begins with reading the pulse to determine which dosha is out of balance. We then use a herbal oil, chosen according to the observed imbalance and we activate the affected marmas using strong big rapid movements followed by quick, gliding and precise movements performed along the nadis.
